The winding river Semois flows through this friendly landscape made up of the districts of Chiny, Florenville and Herbeumont.

Our region sits astride the southern flank of the Ardennes and that other major geological feature, the Paris Basin.

This has a favourable effect on its climate, which in turn benefits the rural and forest biotopes.
